Biography
Nadia Englund is a performer and teacher with more than twenty years of experience working with singers of all ages. In addition to teaching classical voice at BYU, Nadia is the Associate Director of Opera and Production Manager for U Opera at the University of Utah School of Music where she also teaches undergraduate Vocal Pedagogy and Applied Voice Lessons. Nadia has also taught French, German, and Italian Lyric Diction, Vocal Literature, and Pre-Performance Voice at the University of Utah.
Nadia’s recent operatic roles and concert works include Mahler’s Fourth Symphony, Mimì in Puccini’s La Bohème, the title role in Suor Angelica, and the Queen of Hearts in the orchestral premiere of A.L.I.C.E. She also performs each week in Music and the Spoken Word as a member of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square.
Nadia holds a Doctor of Musical Arts and Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Utah. Prior to completing her graduate degrees, Nadia pursued graduate studies in Vocal Performance at Boston University and earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Brigham Young University.
Nadia and her husband, Jason, are the parents of four children.
