Biography

Dr. LeeAnn Morgan has performed throughout Europe, the United States and Canada as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestra member. World premieres include Paralucidity, Three Etudes, and Blue Grass Come Out. Dr. Morgan has performed extensively in the Northwest and is a former member of the Rhapsonic Piano Trio, Bellevue Philharmonic, Northwest Symphony Orchestra, Utah Chamber Players and Seattle Choral Company Orchestra. She is also a freelance musician, recording artist and active member of the new music community.

In addition to performing, Dr. Morgan is a respected teacher and coach. She was Director of Chamber Music and ensemble coach at the Academy of Music Northwest (Seattle’s premier classical music academy for young performers). Her responsibilities included Academy Liaison for visiting guest artists such as the Eroica Piano Trio. She is also a past guest instructor at the University of Washington.

Dr. Morgan received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in string performance from the University of Washington, and her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Brigham Young University, where she also received the respected Sardoni Award of Excellence. At BYU, she was awarded a graduate assistantship working with the Primrose Archive (PIVA) and has had several research-related articles published.
