Vocal Performance
Overview
The Vocal Performance Program at BYU provides rigorous training in the art of singing and stage performance, preparing students for professional careers and other opportunities in music. Under the mentorship of our experienced voice faculty, students receive personalized instruction through private and group voice lessons, vocal coaching, masterclasses, opera workshop, and a variety of performance opportunities. These include fully staged operas, recitals, concerts, and participation in BYU’s renowned choirs. Students also benefit from masterclasses and performances with distinguished guest artists who are active professionals in the field.
What truly sets BYU apart is its commitment to providing a world-class education in a spiritually enriching environment.
The Vocal Performance Program does not offer an emphasis on jazz or contemporary voice. For more information about contemporary voice, click here.
