Music Building and Space Access Guidelines

Practice Rooms

ALL practice rooms not specified for specific instruments and/or majors will be open Monday-Saturday from 6 AM-11 PM.

Building Care workers will begin locking unoccupied practice rooms at 10:45 and providing a 15-minute reminder that the building closes at 11 and all students must exit the building at that time.

Classrooms

All classrooms as well as 4146 (chamber rehearsal room) will be open and available for use by students Monday-Saturday from 8 AM-11 PM. PLEASE NOTE THE DIFFERENT START TIME! Building Care is still cleaning and prepping these rooms until 8 AM.

Ensemble Rooms and Other Spaces

The North and South Ensemble rooms, the Box, and Music Education room will be open for use by students Monday-FRIDAY from 8 AM-11 PM. PLEASE NOTE THE DIFFERENT START TIME! Building Care is still cleaning and prepping these rooms until 8 AM. Also, these rooms are NOT available for "open" use on Saturdays.

EXCEPTIONS

The following rooms are NOT available for "open" use and must be scheduled through the Music Scheduling office - 1067, Recital Hall, Choral Hall, and Concert Hall.

Campus Holidays

The Music Building will not be accessible on official campus holidays. This is a new campus-wide requirement.
