Amy Lee Gabbitas is the Manager of the Brigham Young University Instrument Office and Music Performance Library. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Clarinet Performance and Pedagogy at BYU. While there, she studied with Cindy Child, David Randall, Daron Bradford, Ray Smith and Bill Holman. Amy is one of the founders of Aspen Winds, a professional woodwind quintet. Currently, she is completing a D.M.A at the University of Utah in clarinet performance and a secondary emphasis in education, studying with Kathy Pope.

Amy’s teaching activities encompass a private studio, summer group clarinet classes in the Nebo School District, and as a clinician with the Legacy Music Alliance. She is a past president of the Utah Music Teacher Association Provo/Orem chapter and principal clarinetist with the Timpanogos Symphony Orchestra. Formerly a Navy wife, she (with her husband and 5 children) resides in Springville, Utah. Amy enjoys sewing, hiking, reading and spending time with her family.
