Bryan Tobler is an adjunct professor in the School of Music at Brigham Young University where he teaches Music 276 Exploration of Music Teaching. Before joining the faculty at BYU, Mr. Tobler taught at Springville High School in the Nebo School District, where he taught band for 33 years. His experience in the public schools included 33 years as a high school band director and 19 years teaching in the middle school/junior high school programs. He was twice recognized as the Nebo Educator of the Year for his work at Springville High School. He was recognized as the Utah Music Educators Association Outstanding Secondary Educator in 2003. Springville concert bands under his direction consistently received superior ratings at the state concert band festival. The Springville High School marching band was very successful and was selected to perform in the 1984 Inaugural Parade in Washington, D.C.
