The Young Ambassadors arrived in Thailand last Tuesday, and early Wednesday morning, the group was up and ready to take on the day (despite their jet lag!). After sightseeing and visiting the largest Teakwood palace in the world, the Young Ambassadors put on their first performance. The princess of Thailand hosted the group and individually shook hands with each of the performers before being escorted away from the theater after the show. The proceeds from the performance will benefit a local children’s hospital, which the Young Ambassadors visited the next day. The rest of the week was spent sightseeing and performing in outreaches with local members of the community.
During the next week, the group will perform at the 50th anniversary concert for Chiang Mai University and a benefit concert for local orphans in Kohn Kaen, Thailand.
