BYU’s premier instrumental ensembles kick off a new year of performances

The BYU School of Music debuts its premier orchestra and band ensembles during the Instrumental Showcase on Sept. 28.

The annual concert will feature performances by BYU Philharmonic, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band under the direction of conductors Kory Katseanes, Christian Smith, Donald Peterson and Kirt Saville, respectively.

The event will introduce this year’s student musicians and highlight the unique styles and talents of the different ensembles. 

The Instrumental Showcase will be presented at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall of the Harris Fine Arts Center. Tickets are available in person at the BYU Ticket Office in the HFAC or Marriott Center, by phone at 801.422.2981 or online at byuarts.com.
