In Choirs, Events, Orchestras/Symphonies

As part of the concert, The BYU Men’s Chorus will add two songs to their ever-growing album of missionary hymns, “Set Apart”

The BYU choirs and Philharmonic Orchestra will present the School of Music’s annual Celebration of Christmas Dec. 6-7.

The ensembles — Concert Choir and Men’s Chorus, directed by Rosalind Hall; Women’s Chorus, directed by Sonja Poulter; BYU Singers, directed by Andrew Crane; and the Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by Kory Katseanes — continue a longstanding tradition of joining together to usher in the Christmas season at BYU.

In connection with the concert, the Men’s Chorus will release two new songs for “Set Apart,” the choir’s ongoing album of missionary hymns. The songs — David Zabriskie’s arrangement of “Silent Night” and Brent Wells’ arrangement of “We Sing the Mighty Power of God” — will be available as free downloads beginning Dec. 6.
