Vocalists may study for three degrees. The links below cover all degree requirements and, for undergraduates, include the suggested plan by which to achieve them, called the Major Academic Plan (MAP).
- BA Music (offered through the Music History division)
- BM Music Performance: Vocal Emphasis
- MM Performance: Vocal Emphasis
In addition, vocalists may major in composition or music education. Applicants intending to major in those areas should contact the relevant faculty prior to their audition, who may request additional performance repertoire, faculty interviews, portfolios or other materials. Prospective commercial music students interested in contemporary voice should contact the Commercial Music division.
Complete information about undergraduate admissions can be found under the “Admissions & Aid” pages.
