Laura Holt has served as the Office Manager in the BYU School of Music since 1999. She serves as the Financial and Operations Manager, and Assistant to the Assistant Director/Controller and to the Assistant Director/Facilities. Her responsibilities include accounting and financial duties. She also manages the primary administrative office and serves as advisor in operations of the School’s additional offices. She supports the Executive Council, faculty, administration, staff and hundreds of students in the School of Music. Laura also works with special projects and facilitates Work Orders from inception to completion.
Laura also serves as the University Performance Coordinator for the School of Music; in this capacity she is the Assistant to the Director. She supports President’s Leadership Council, University Relations, LDS Philanthropies, Colleges, and various public organizations. Laura coordinates all music aspects for University Devotionals and Forums, Groundbreaking and Dedication Ceremonies, Commencements, and select Convocations. She is a member of the University Commencement Committee, University Conference Committee, and College Convocation Committee.
Laura was honored by the National Association of Professional Women for Outstanding Excellence and Dedication to her Profession and the Achievement of Women. She also was awarded the BYU President’s Appreciation Award, two time awardee of BYU’s Staff and Administrative Employee Recognition Award, and two time awardee of the BYU Human Resource Values Award. Laura is a member of the Jesse and Amanda Knight Society of LDS Philanthropies, serves on the Executive Board of the Utah Valley Chapter of the BYU Management Society, and is a member of the BYU Cougar Club.
