SONY Recording Artist Lexi Walker will join BYU Synthesis April 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall of the Harris Fine Arts Center, BYU.
Walker is a 14-year-old Utah singing sensation who has been called ‘America’s Sweetheart’ and a ‘Vocal Sensation.’ She recently performed at an inaugural ball for President Trump and has performed venues in Las Vegas, Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall and the Kennedy Center. Her career has included performances with Kristin Chenoweth, The Piano Guys, Lindsey Stirling and David Archuleta.
The Synthesis performance promises to impress with popular jazz classics such as “Groove Merchant” by Thad Jones, “First Circle” by Pat Metheny, “Footprints” by Wayne Shorter and “Things to Come” by Dizzy Gillespie.
Additionally, the group will perform “Another Day of Sun” and “Lovely Night” from the popular new film La La Land.
Synthesis is an award-winning jazz ensemble that performs professional jazz in exhilarating and high-quality performances. The ensemble tours frequently and visited the Scandinavia and the Baltic region last summer.
