BYU School of Music prides itself on assembling and maintaining a collection of the world’s finest pianos for the

edification of our students and faculty.

Keith PianoThe BYU Piano Shop has the responsibility to oversee the care and maintenance of more than one hundred fifty pianos in the School of Music. Each piano is tuned and serviced at least six times a year—with teaching studios, classrooms, and recital venues receiving significantly more attention.

Pianconcert hall pianoos in the concert halls are maintained at an optimal level, at times being tuned daily to meet the rigorous demands of the concert artist.

The Piano Shop also maintains the piano faculty’s instruments, each having two grands in their studios. Their primary instruments are Steinway & Sons Model B grands.

In general, we do not service pianos outside the School of Music, but if a piano anywhere on campus is in need of service that may also be requested through the service/repair link. It will be forwarded to the appropriate department.
